TTMA  was formed in response to the need to establish confidence between various manufacturers of truck trailers and also their suppliers as to bring a greater friendliness into the industry and to bring about a mutual understanding of the problems confronting all manufacturers. 

Today TTMA membership produces more than 90% of the truck trailers built in North America.  Additionally, TTMA Associate Members include more than 100 global material and component suppliers who keep those lines moving.  TTMA efforts engage policies and regulations that play a role in assuring the timely, smooth flow of material to keep production flowing or that effect the cost of production.
